Congratulations to Duke Health: The BETR-D Study Has Been Published!
We are excited to announce that the first-ever randomized clinical trial on UV disinfection is now published in The Lancet! The Benefits of Enhanced Terminal Room-Disinfection (BETR-D) study was funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the CDC’s Prevention Epicenters Program and conducted across nine hospitals in the Duke Infection Control Outreach Network.
Results proved that enhanced terminal room disinfection strategies that included the use of Tru-D SmartUVC reduced the risk of acquisition and infection caused by target multidrug-resistant organisms (MRDOs) among patients admitted to the same room by 30%.Click here to watch a video from Duke Health, and click here learn more information about the BETR-D study.
Congratulations to Duke Health on the publication of this major study!
