Hospitals around the country are using Tru-D to help fight the spread of the flu using UVC disinfection. This year’s strain of the flu is more resistant to the flu shot, and higher than average numbers of cases are being reported around the country. While many states are having record number of reported flu cases, it’s likely to get worse before it gets better.

Hospitals like Benefis Health System and Charlotte Hungerford are deploying Tru-D to kill harmful pathogens such as the flu, C. diff, MRSA, VRE, Ebola, norovirus and many others.

“Flu is everywhere in the U.S. right now,” said Dan Jernigan, director of the influenza division at the national Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. “This is the first year we have had the entire continental U.S. be the same color on the graph, meaning there is widespread activity in all of the continental U.S. at this point.”
