Tru-D SmartUVC LLC to Provide Yankee Alliance Members with First Scientifically Validated UV Disinfection Robot
Andover, Ma., July 09, 2014 — TRU-D LLC leadership announced the company has entered into a strategic partnership with Yankee Alliance, a national member-driven group purchasing organization with more than 120 acute care hospitals members, to add TRU-D SmartUVC(TM), a scientifically validated UV disinfection robot, to its roster.
With TRU-D, Yankee Alliance members will gain a powerful infection prevention tool, as the UV disinfection robot’s efficacy has been proven in more than 10 independent studies. The UV-C germ-eliminating device can kill 99.9 percent of pathogens that cause some of today’s most catastrophic hospital-acquired infections.
Short for Total Room Ultraviolet Disinfection, TRU-D works by generating UV light energy that modifies the DNA structure of an infectious cell so that it cannot reproduce. Patented Sensor360™ technology and the robot’s newest innovation, iTRU-D, make the device the most advanced automated UV disinfection resource on the market. Set up for TRU-D is fast and easy, and health care spaces are thoroughly disinfected from one central position with only one cycle. TRU-D automatically reads and calculates the proper UV dose needed to effectively disinfect a room and simultaneously uploads infection prevention, risk aversion and usage efficiency data to a customized, secure cloud-based portal for hospital staff to quickly and easily access.
“We are pleased to have formed this strategic relationship with Yankee Alliance, which allows us to put our innovative technology in front of more health care organizations and revolutionize the way the health care industry addresses hospital-acquired infections,” said Chuck Dunn, president of TRU-D LLC. “Our team looks forward to engaging with Yankee Alliance members to take the guesswork out of their previous infection prevention protocols, provide solutions for eliminating dangerous pathogens in their hospitals and ensure confidence in their clinicians and patients alike.”
