Tru-D’s Impact on Workflow: Why Single Placement Matters

Posted by Tru-D SmartUVC 07.13.16

Tru-D’s single placement positioning allows EVS staffs to work smarter, not harder, implementing seamlessly into any hospital’s workflow. While Tru-D completes a disinfection cycle, which ranges on average from 15-35 minutes, EVS workers are free to complete other tasks, rather than having to move the robot to multiple positions. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, Tru-D automatically shuts down and sends an audio and/or text message alert to the operator that disinfection is complete.

While multiple placement devices require additional full time employee costs, Tru-D complements an EVS team and ensures up to 99.9% of harmful pathogens are eliminated. Other UV disinfection methods that rely on a fixed cycle time and multiple positions around the room provide inefficient disinfection and missed areas. Tru-D’s patented Sensor360 technology eliminates that risk by calculating the time needed to react to room variables while removing any chance for human error in the process.

“Tru-D’s unique ability to measure the UV dose reflected not only reduces idle time for EVS staff but ensures total room disinfection from a single position,” said Chuck Dunn, President and CEO of Tru-D SmartUVC. “Since germs and harmful pathogens can live anywhere, it’s crucial that all surfaces—not just high-touch or line-of site surfaces—are disinfected.”
