April News Recap
The Tru-D team who attended the MedAssets Healthcare Business Summit in Las Vegas proudly accepted a Gold Award from the MedAssets Supplier Recognition Program on behalf of the entire Tru-D SmartUVC LLC organization. The MedAssets Supplier Recognition Program recognizes organizations that promote quality and value within the health care supply chain and exhibit strong corporate social responsibility principles and practices within their companies. Tru-D has been a proud MedAssets supplier since 2013, and we were honored to receive this recognition.
Dr. Jeff Deal, inventor of Tru-D, was among the impressive lineup of speakers at the TEDxCharleston Embrace Chaos event on April 15. He spoke about the journey to create the technology behind Tru-D and its role in fighting deadly diseases, like Ebola. Dr. Deal traveled to Monrovia, Republic of Liberia, in August 2014 to assist in the deployment of two Tru-D robots in Ebola Treatment Units at JFK Hospital and ELWA Hospital.
Floyd Medical Center, the first hospital in Northwest Georgia to purchase Tru-D SmartUVC, recently bolstered its patient safety arsenal by deploying the germ-killing robot in various patient areas.
Already following strict disinfection routines, St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana, is now also using germ-killing robot Tru-D SmartUVC to eliminate harmful germs that can infect patients during their hospital stay.
