UVC Disinfection Robot Tru-D Awarded Contract with Capstone Health Alliance
Tru-D SmartUVC, a UVC disinfection robot, announced that it has been awarded a group purchasing agreement with Capstone Health Alliance. Capstone Health Alliance is a regional group purchasing alliance of health care members that delivers real cost savings through the power of aggregation and collaboration. The new agreement began in February 2018 and allows Capstone members to take advantage of special pricing and terms pre-negotiated for the purchase of Tru-D’s automated UV disinfection robot.
“Tru-D is committed to delivering superior service and innovation to Capstone and other GPO organizations as the gold standard in the UVC disinfection space,” said Chuck Dunn, President and CEO of Tru-D SmartUVC. “We are eager to partner with Capstone to improve patient outcomes for its member facilities and provide a solid return on investment through the implementation of UVC disinfection.”
Cost avoidance associated with hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) supports hospitals’ efforts to measure quality and cost effectiveness to achieve improved outcomes. The first randomized clinical trial on UV disinfection published in The Lancet last year concluded enhanced disinfection protocols that include Tru-D in infection prevention strategies will reduce HAIs and fill the gap in performance improvement plans. Tru-D is the only device on the market that delivers a guaranteed and measurable dose of UVC light to all surfaces in a room, every time. Tru-D provides scientifically-validated efficacy and unmatchable efficiency to integrate into existing workflow as well as a return on investment.
