Sarasota Memorial Health Care System recently announced the addition of Tru-D SmartUVC to its arsenal of infection control strategies. The 5-foot-5 ultraviolent robot will be used for everything from managing the care of potential Ebola patients to preventing day-to-day spread of dangerous diseases. In addition to adding Tru-D Smart UVC to patient rooms, in June, the hospital put up a billboard which features a photo of the germ-killer and reads “Super Clean Rooms. Tru-D Superbug-Slaying Robots.”
Tru-D SmartUVC LLC made its debut appearance at the 2015 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition on June 24-26. The UV disinfection robot was on display for conference-goers to see. Tru-D SmartUVC announced a group purchasing agreement with Premier Inc. for room infection prevention products in January.
Tru-D Smart UVC LLC returned to APIC to not only present the UV disinfection robot’s capabilities and newest innovations but to also sponsor a pre-conference workshop. The workshop featured information on subjects such as scientific and practical uses of sterilization technologies and the importance of selecting a UV disinfection system that will give you desired results, among other topics.
