In October, Tru-D solidified its place as the gold standard in UV disinfection when results of the most comprehensive clinical trial of UV disinfection were presented at IDWeek2015. This momentum continued through November with many in the health care industry recognizing the importance of these results. Additionally, we’ve been busy this past month promoting our #TeamTruD giveaway opportunity to U.S. hospitals, and we are eager to announce a winner, Oregon Health & Science University!

CDC-funded randomized clinical trial concludes that Tru-D reduces health care-associated infectiona up to 30 percent

The randomized clinical trial, called Benefits of Enhanced Terminal Room-Disinfection, was the result of four years worth of study planning and execution, and its findings have already helped to accelerate the adoption of Tru-D technology in the fight against infectious diseases.

Tru-D featured in Infection Control Today for groundbreaking UV disinfection research

The importance of UV disinfection was evident when recent study results determined Tru-D to be as much as 30 percent effective in reducing the acquisition of infection caused by multidrug-resistant organisms, making hospitals safer for patients and staff.

Patient Safety & Quality Healthcare recognized Tru-D’s involvement in the BETR-D study

Tru-D SmartUVC was the UVC device selected for the study and proved its ability to reduce environmental pathogens as well as incidents of multidrug-resistant organisms in hospitals.
