Better Together: PDI + Tru-D® SmartUVC Have You Covered

Our Layered Approach

Hospitals need multiple layers of defense to ensure the highest level of cleanliness because no single approach can completely eliminate the environment of microorganisms. Human error is inevitable in the disinfection process. By adding UVC technology to standard disinfection practices, variables related to human error in cleaning are reduced.

Step 1

Establishing standardized, evidence-based policies

Step 2

Choosing the appropriate disinfection products

Step 3

No touch, whole room disinfection

Step 4

Staff Education, Compliance monitoring, and feedback

An Added Layer of Cleanliness

The Tru-D robot is an automated UVC disinfection solution that is backed by sound science and independent research. The Tru-D device is the only “smart” disinfection robot with patented Sensor360® technology, which compensates for room variables such as size, shape, and contents by measuring the amount, or dose, of UVC needed to ensure thorough room disinfection. The robot operates from a single position without the need for frequent involvement or movement to multiple placements from staff.

Choosing Appropriate Disinfection Products

Cleaning and disinfection are paramount in the healthcare setting. Specific products should be selected for cleaning to remove surface debris, dust, and organic material, and disinfection to kill microorganisms. Disinfecting products should be fast-acting with a broad spectrum of kill claims. When you partner with PDI, you can trust that you are using clinically advanced Environment of Care, Interventional Care, and Patient Care products designed specifically for health care.

It’s important to provide enhanced surface disinfection in areas that may be contaminated with C. diff, C. Auris, SARS-CoV-2, and other microorganisms. PDI's Sani-Cloth® Bleach Germicidal Wipes help meet healthcare facilities' disinfection needs by providing 1,000 square feet of coverage against 50 microorganisms.
