Step 1: Measuring the Environment
Before Tru-D® devices begin a disinfection cycle, their internal sensors scan the space to determine factors like room size, surface reflectivity and geometry. These variables influence how UVC light travels and reflects and therefore, how much energy is needed to achieve thorough disinfection.
Step 2: Calculating the Ideal Dose
Every Tru-D® device cycle begins with a targeted UVC dose, calculated based on environmental data. Because UVC energy effectiveness depends on time, distance and intensity, Tru-D® devices’ software computes exactly how long the system should run to deliver a precise, effective amount of energy to every hard, nonporous surface in a space.
Step 3: Delivering Measured UVC Energy
Once activated, Tru-D® devices flood the space with 254-nanometer UVC light, a wavelength recognized for its ability to stop microorganisms from replicating.
As the cycle runs, Tru-D® devices continuously measure the UVC energy reflected within the space and adjust in real time, ensuring every hard, nonporous surface in a room receives the correct cumulative dose.
When the predetermined energy level is reached, Tru-D® devices automatically power down, confirming the cycle is complete and disinfection is achieved.

After each cycle, disinfection data is available in the Tru-D® SmartHUB, an integrated reporting system that logs performance data including operator, room, cycle time and more.
