The First Step to Successful UVC Implementation: Planning
My name is Jennifer Picker, and I am the Manager of Program Management for Tru-D SmartUVC. In my role, I work with our entire team to build strategic, robust disinfection programs that are tailored to address each hospital’s disinfection and SSI/HAI reduction goals.
Over the next few weeks, we will be discussing tips for implementing a successful UVC disinfection program.
Prior to implementing a Tru-D UVC disinfection program, our team will schedule pre-implementation calls to help guide teams and stakeholders at facilities to focus on a specific pathogen and/or a specific area of the hospital to launch their program.
Setting goals, assigning a champion and putting UVC disinfection as a top priority will assist in hardwiring a successful program.
On these calls, Tru-D discusses hospital-acquired infection rates, pathogen focus discharge data, peri-op frequency, logistics of how to integrate Tru-D into workflow, portal access, training dates and more.
